  • Valentin has a strong background in biology, neuroscience and mathematical modelling. He is responsible for steering the company’s overall strategy, day-to-day operations, and scientific direction.

Irantzu Anzar, Head of R&D at the Ambr Institute.

Head of R&D

  • Irantzu holds a PhD in bioinformatics and personalized immunotherapy from the University of Oslo. With over a decade of industrial R&D experience, she has developed multiple bioinformatics and ML pipelines for omics data analysis. She leads a team of data scientists, ensuring rigorous research standards and data curation, essential for reliable AI model development.

David V. Lindberg, CTO at the Ambr Institute.

Chief Technology Officer

  • David completed his PhD in Statistics from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Previously, he served as the AI lead in the research department of Det Norske Veritas (DNV). David specializes in data security, platform development, and ensuring the statistical quality of our AI predictions, while also leading a team of data scientists and software developers.

  • Aslak earned his MBA at ESCP Business School. He has held executive roles as CEO, Vice President, and Sales Director, driving business growth across multiple industries. Aslak is responsible for business development, sales, and marketing—always with a relentless focus on creating the very best customer experiences.

Alise D. Midfjord, AI lead at Ambr Institute.

AI Lead

  • With a PhD in Trustworthy AI and a background in medical physics, Alise is behind the AI rending our predictions possible. She is developing innovative algorithms to predict risks of complex diseases by integrating multi-omics data together, with a special focus on uncertainty and explainability.

Maria Schüller, QA Engineer at the Ambr Institute.

QA Engineer

  • Maria holds a PhD from the Pharmacy department at the University of Oslo. She has expertise in patient safety, quality assurance, and quality management systems. Maria is responsible for ensuring the proper development of our products, supervising clinical trials, and securing the necessary certifications.

Severin Elvatum, Project Manager and AI senior scientist at Ambr Institute.

Project Manager

  • During his PhD, Severin worked on developing data-driven algorithms for personalized cancer risk prediction. Later, he transitioned into biomedical applications of Generative AI and Federated Learning. His expertise includes data analytics, AI engineering and software development.

Alexandra Solheim, UX designer at the Ambr Institute.

UX Designer

  • Alexandra is an experienced UX designer and front-end developer who is diving into the fields of FemTech and AI technology, focusing specifically on endometriosis. With over 12 years of expertise in online media and broadcast technology, she is dedicated to making Ambr's medical platform intuitive, user-friendly, and engaging by deeply understanding user needs and transforming them into compelling design solutions.

  • Chiara earned her MSc in Bioinformatics from Uppsala University and has a background in Biotechnology from the University of Trieste. She brings experience in machine learning and data science, with a strong passion for software development, medical innovation, and the medtech sector.

  • Akos is a Senior Platform Architect specializing in modern Data, Edge, and AI domains. With over 25 years of experience in computer science, he has worked with top-rated firms like DNV, BaseFarm, and Crayon. Known for his innovative thinking and ability to 'hack' the basics of almost any technology, Akos ensures that Ambr's platform runs smoothly with seamless integration across digital medical services, while maintaining robust data security.

    Hilde’s research focuses, among other things, on the quality control mechanisms that maintain function of DNA and RNA during aging and throughout the lifetime of cells and organisms.

    Rune investigates the role of reversible RNA modifications in bladder cancer. He provides Ambr with clinical advice and experience, and leads our project on Cancer Surgery Prehabilitation.

    Dr. Rivelsrud is a senior General Specialist with an extensive experience in strategic and operational leadership, start-ups, financial analysis, mergers and acquisitions. Dr. Rivelsrud excels in both the clinical and business realms of healthcare.

  • Hilde is the founder of Humentor AS, a company screening and analysing biomarkers for health and job stress, with the goal of increasing health quality and productivity in individuals and organisations.
